Reviews and Ratings
I had a fantastic stay at the hotel! The room had a brilliant power shower and lovely surprise of decorated chocolates, plus complimentary soft drinks and snacks in the fridge. The view overlooking Princes Street was amazing. Although the room wasn't ready on arrival, they made up for it with complimentary drinks. The service was incredibly friendly, but there were a few instances of noise in the early morning. The location was ideal, especially for those traveling without a car, with fantastic views of Edinburgh Castle. The dining experience was average with slow service during busy weekends. Overall, a great value for a shopping weekend in the city center.
The hotel is perfectly located, just across from the Waverly Train Station, with a superb view of the castle and the Royal Mile. The room was small with some maintenance issues, but the service was outstanding despite some minor oversights. Dining was top-notch, and the central location was convenient for exploring the city.
The hotel offers spacious rooms, but we had issues with electricity in the first one and got moved around until we found a better room. The service was lacking at check-in but improved during our stay. The prime location makes it easy to explore Edinburgh. Overall, a decent stay with ups and downs.
I had a mixed experience during my stay at the hotel. The rooms were nicely decorated and comfortable, but being located at the back close to the extractor fans of nearby fast-food restaurants caused an unpleasant stale smell even with the windows closed. Despite this, the room size was good enough for a comfortable stay.
Staying at the hotel was a bit challenging due to the noise coming from the building across the road at night, but we eventually managed to get some rest. The price for the room was fair considering the circumstances. The location was excellent for exploring Edinburgh but getting back to the hotel felt a bit chaotic with loud noises along the way during our visit to the Xmas market.
Staying at this hotel was a delightful experience. The rooms, though cozy, were nicely decorated for a birthday surprise, offering lovely views of Edinburgh. The service was outstanding, with the staff going above and beyond to ensure our comfort. The location was ideal for exploring the Christmas markets and local attractions. While the dining options were varied, some aspects were underwhelming. Overall, a charming hotel with a few minor drawbacks.
The hotel had clean and excellent location rooms, but there was some noise from a nearby store room all night and the rooms were not in the best condition. It was a struggle to get the heating to work. The staff were all very pleasant and accommodating but not overly friendly. The location was brilliant, directly opposite the train station but quite dated in some areas. The dining was delicious with a good selection. The facilities were well-kept.
The hotel is perfectly located right in the heart of Edinburgh, within walking distance of major attractions. The rooms were a good size but in need of a makeover. The service was friendly and accommodating, though not very attentive at times. The location is excellent for exploring the city, despite some noise. The dining experience was pleasant overall, with a nice meal option. Facilitiess are basic but satisfactory.
The suite overlooked princes street with smart book-themed decoration, but some cleanliness issues were discovered under the sofa, old socks found, and maintenance issues like broken toilet seat and non-working fridge were present. Noise from bottle disposal in the courtyard below was disruptive every morning.
The hotel's rooms are lovely and spacious, but cleanliness could be improved. Great location directly across from the train station, perfect for tourists.
